Long Curly Hair

One of the first things that people notice about you when they see you is your hair.

Fabulous curls!

Basic Tips Caring  For Long Curly Hair

One of the first things that people notice about you when they see you is your hair. So knowing how to care for long curly hair, if that is your style, is important. The last thing you want is for your hair to fall into disarray!

Many people with naturally curly hair complain that it is hard to manage. Some with that their hair wasn’t curly at all, and many will go to great lengths to keep it straight most of the time. But if you only knew how to manage it properly, you would not feel that it is a burden at all; in fact you would start to quite enjoy having unique and naturally beautiful hair that other women can only dream of!

So what is the best way to care for long curly hair? Here are some tips.

1. Be Gentle
Curly hair requires a gentle touch. Don’t use your fingernails to massage when washing, just use your fingertips. Make sure the shampoo is not just poured on the top of your head, but gently worked down your hair evenly.

2. No Brushes
Brushes are not a good friend of curly hair. It is best to use a wide-toothed comb so that your curls don’t become matted.

3. No Blow Drying
Unless you want your hair to go straight and frizzy, comb it when wet after washing and let it air dry.

4. Don’t Disturb the Curls
When you are styling your hair try not to mess the pattern of the curls up. This is when frizz occurs, when individual hairs become dislodged. If you are styling right after a wash, do it right away and then let it dry itself (you can dab the ends with a towel).

Once you learn how to care for long curly hair, you will see it as a blessing rather than as a burden.
