I am a Flag Waving American Patriot and I love this Country.  I have lived many long years and never in all that time have I ever seen a Presidential candidate willfully show disrespect to this Country and it’s flag; that is until now.  What is wrong with a man who wants to be President of this great Country and refuses to wear its Pen or make a pledge to it?  That is the gut-wrenching question you must ask yourself.

I have listened to the political rhetoric as it has played out on television. Change, change, change, but just what change is being referred too?   No one gives any specifics.  Are we so dummied down that we don’t say “What changes?”  Have we forgotten the old adage, if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it?    Have we forgotten that sometimes change is bad especially if we don’t know what the change is.  What idiot would vote for something and not know what he was voting for?

You know, Politics, I always thought was like a football game.  We always knew what players were on which team.  Avid fans root for their favorite teams.  They wear pins, banners, cheer, yell and scream for the teams of their choice.   Now, you say, “Isn’t that the way it is?”

No, for the team that I am talking about is America.  Who is for her?  What about her tomorrows, her future?    I haven’t seen many cheers or concern for her.  We have come a long way through many trials of the past.  They have not always been the best, but in time, we found the right path.  Hopefully, that all can be free and enjoy the pursuit of happiness.  Success has come, but it is fired by hard work, study, and the will to improve the life of all Americans.  Therefore, I think that the new President of the United States should be for all the people, regardless of color or creed.  In saying this, I would like to say that I have grave concerns about one of the Candidates.

Before going further about this growing concern, I would like to ask you a question. Would you vote for me if I belonged to a white segregated church with leanings toward England?  We all know the answer to that; Obama.  How can he  be a member of Trinity Christian, a black segregated church with leanings toward Africa and still run for the highest office in the land?   Check it out on:  www.tucc.org/about.htm

Also, I want a President with leanings toward America, not some other country.  What about the Pledge of Allegiance, and the wearing of the American Flag Pin?  Here we are back at the ballgame again and I don’t see any team pride showing with this political candidate.  I do see arrogance and empty words with no concrete proof of anything substantial.  I also wonder if it that Muslim background that takes away from this man being a real team player?  A true Muslim will not pledge allegiance to this Country.  That

is is background.  It’s a little late to start doing the pledge now or wearing a pen because the true merit of a man is what he has or has not been doing all his life.

Now the wife, she comes on with remarks about not being proud of this country.  Well, all I can say is this, “If American is not your team, then get off the field.” 

America that is a proud beautiful name and many have died and shed their blood for this Country and as long as there is evil in the world, this will continue to be a problem.  For the evils of men predestined heroes and those who give up much so that we might survive and be free and for someone to bad mouth this country is the epitome of ignorance and bad taste.

I’ve always appreciated that saying, Love it or leave it.  Within those words is so much truth.  No matter what we go through, we are Americans, first and everything  else last.    The truth of one’s character eventually is displayed in their remarks and lack of pride for this Nation which is still the greatest on earth.  I still believe that you can fool some of the people, but not the intelligent and truth seeking ones who use the gray matter that God gave them to ask questions and come to a sensible conclusion. 

Voting is a right, a great privilege.  So use it wisely.  Investigate your candidate(s).  Do they stand for the things that you stand for, or are you simply voting blind, voting for party, race, without knowing how your candidate voted in the past.  Did he vote against our soldiers getting the equipment they needed?  Yes.  Did he vote against letting an aborted baby, who still clung to life and had a chance to live, did he vote against letting that baby live?  Oh, yes, he did.  Have you thought about what things this candidate might vote for or against that might adversely affect the future of this country?    Also, his plan for tax increase is the highest tax increase this Country has ever known.  Also, the way he plans to pay for the health care is to decrease our Army until they are without proper men or equipment and will make us less than we were before Pearl Harbor.  Just what is the true agenda of this man?  It is certainly not in the best interest of America.   A past voting history shows the true character of a Candidate(s) and not what they are now pretending to be. 

Alas, I know that many voters will not check out the candidates, and that is why America gets into so much difficulty.  So many will vote for the race or religion of a candidate or because of party affiliation; not caring the least about what is best for this Country and the future of our children and grandchildren and for all the tomorrows to come.  Some will vote on the greedy ticket of, what can I get out of this?  Is he going to raise taxes?  We’ve already heard the “yes” to that.

I miss the old ones who thought about the children and the grandchildren, their future, their tomorrows.  No, it wasn’t all about money, but pride, character and the will to do the right thing in the hardest of times.  They were the true American voters. They did not vote for scoundrels, fornicators or evil doers. They tried to keep things in perspective and always gave of themselves, suffered, went hungry, and all for what is right and honorable for the Country.  Because of them, we have what we have today.  I do not see that American zeal and pride in many American voters and I wondered why and then came up with the real reason.  Greed, character flaws and the taking for granted of being born in this wonderful country.  So many takers, not many givers and no one asking the proverbial question of, “Ask not what your Country can do for you, but what you can do for your Country.”

This Country has some serious problems that need to be addressed; illegal immigration, over-population, like China, looms on the horizon.  Taxes may go higher and how can we afford to elect someone who has promised to raise our taxes?  Misplaced passion, excitement, self-interests, when these get in front of what is best for the Country, then further problems arise.

We can only go forward if everyone puts their political and racial  or religious agenda behind them and look at the candidate from his/her past voting record and if they are

truly a team player for America.

Voting is a priveledge, don’t abuse, use wisdom when you vote, America depends on YOU.
