A group of 'Tay' women work within the system to find a soluction to help the young women trapped into selling their children for a sack of rice to plant for the winter crop. In the highlands the grieving parents mourn the loss of their young people stolen from their village in the dead of night. These victims of poverty are forced to endure a life of misery as laborers or prostitutes in Cambodia, Thailand, Laos and China.
Perhaps Maggie, Genevive and friends can influence the power brokers into protecting their young people for a brighter future in Vietnam.
