Dear Readers, welcome to my thoughts on writing and a Happy New Year to all. The past year has been a mixed one for me as my editor has been ill with breast cancer and my two books ‘The Emerald Buddha’ and ‘Angels of Saigon’ have been quietly simmering away as they wait to explode onto the shelves in bookshops.

In my minds eye I have a new story bubbling away; its about a fascinating young woman named Gullnora ,who I met in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, during 2000. Gulli's belief in herself and her desire to explore the world, inspired me; Gulli’s story is wonderful and sparkles with her love of life and seizing the opportunities when the time was right.
