Happy Birthday, Anneliese!
“All About Me”

My grandma loves me very much
She says we need to keep in touch
With things done before I was born, she’ll say
Then she tells me stories every day.
She lets me choose my favorite one
The one I think is so much fun
The one I like the very best
My favorite one of all the rest.
It’s a story that’s called “All About Me”
And she said that day filled her heart with glee.
She says she remembers it all the time
And that was the day she made up my rhyme.
“May God bless you and keep you and give you peace
My precious, little Anneliese.
God sent an angel early one morn.
God sent an angel the day you were born.”
She says, “Your Daddy called, and said to scurry.”
Cause I was coming and was in a hurry.
So they jumped out of bed and into the car
To head to the hospital, it wasn’t far.
When they got there, I was on my way.
To make this my grandmother’s favorite day.
And Grandpa laughed and Grandpa cried.
And he said, “Pretty soon, we’ll play Hoopie-Hide.
My aunt and my uncle came down to see
The brand new baby, who was me!
And now when I think of all the love
I got that day from up above,
And down below from my family
My favorite story is “All About Me!”
