Busy, Busy, Busy 9/7/2005 11:36:53 AM
I feel like the busiest girl in the work sometimes. I took a vacation from work (I'm a 911 Dispatcher with LAPD) and went on a cruise. Don't ever go on a cruise with a 3 year-old and in-laws who aren't willing to help out. It was my first cruise but I didn't enjoy it as much.
When I came back I wrote my butt off and got a lot of chapters of "THE HEART'S TORMENT" done - that writing between going to visit the King Tut exhibit and taking my 3 year old to Disneyland.
Then I went back to work - now - since I changed to the Swing Shift 3-11, it is a lot busier shift so I can't get a lot of writing done.
I've managed a couple of new chapters of Torment - I'm up to 48 now and just starting the ending arch of the book. I'm excited about it because I really want to wrap it up.
I also managed to write some other pieces - one being "Royal Pretender" - a historical fiction piece I'll put up in my den shortly.
Between all this writing, I'm trying to get some reading done which isn't easy. I'm currently reading "Fangs for the Memories" by Kathy Love.
Hope to get to some new pieces here on the den too. I found a beverage place that sells German beer yesterday and bought a case of it. HeHe. Gosh, I really missed German beer!
