I thought writing my new novel, Miyoko's Will, was draining, between the time I spent on researching, writing, then rewriting it multiple times. Miyoko's Will is. a historical fiction novel covering the years 1945 through 1995. It begiins with the dropping of Little Boy on Hiroshima in August of 1945 and ends in 1995. The settings are Hiroshima, San Francisco, Fort Lauderdale, and then Hiroshima again. It's the story of a family torn apart  by World War II. It takes years and a death to bring the family back together. 

While writing Miyoko's Novel was draining, working to get it published is even more so. In essence, you have a page, otherwise known as a query letter, to catch a Literary Agent's attention, so that she or he will request to see more. Being inundated with submissions, if your query letter doesn't immediately strike a spark with he agent, your book is rejected.

I written and rewritten my query letter at least twenty times thus far. While I've gotten positive feedback, I haven't found an agent just yet willing to offer me representation. Multiple agents have encouraged me to press on...and I will. And I will also continue to rewrite my query and my synopsis in an attemtp to attain perfection (or as close thereto as possible).  Reading a good book transports me to a different time and place, offering relief from the current tension we are all experiencing. I want to do just that for my readers and will not be so easily dissuaded.  ONWARD!
