A Wise Woman and A Wise Man
6/13/2007 5:39:45 PM

It has been said that a wise woman and a wise man prepare and tends the soil of their mind without toxic thoughts. Now, what are toxic thoughts? I have pondered this. (I like to ponder a lot.)I thought about the word 'toxic' and do we really understand what the meaning is. Delving into my dictionary I verified what I thought I knew and that toxic is another word for poison.

Now what are toxic thoughts? Hmmm. That isn't hard to figure out. Poison thoughts are hate, anger, jealousy to name a few. I thought of this and I am adding fear, unworthiness, guilt, and bigotry. Now, why would these emotions be poison? They all affect the emotional body and the emotional body reacts on the cells of the body. If we go a little further, we can pinpoint emotions to illnesses.

For instance, we do not 'catch colds' - our immune system is weakened by our emotions so the body reacts with a 'cold.'
Louise Hay has a marvelous little booklet titled: "Heal Yourself." She has pinpointed certain emotions to different illnesses and she has a good track record.

What can one do? Be watchful of what one thinks and the reactions to certain people and situations. When we become aware, then we begin to regain our power and we can then become detached as if we were watching a movie. Only this movie is us and we do not react. The more we can use detachment, the sooner we begin to entertain greater thoughts and emotions.

We each have choices. We can either feed our toxic mind or we can nurture it with kinder thoughts and this evolves into love of self.
