Masters Inspirational Message....Matt. 11:28-30 Matt. 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Who else can tell you this and you actually believe it? Oh, What a friend we have in Jesus! all our sins and grieves to bear! God does not force His will upon us or make any demands, all He asks us to do is come....I know all of you labour and many are heavy laden with your trials and disappointments but all He is asks for you to do is come unto Him and He will give you rest.
Yes, He asks you to take His yoke upon you... but check out the irony in that....a yoke is not just a harness but its purpose is to join together a pair in an effort to work or perform a task together! So you when you join with Christ and learn of Him and join in His meek and humble heart and spirit ; you will find rest unto your weary souls.
Finally, He tells us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light....now how many of you know that if God makes a statement such as this one; that it is no more than a promise. Now, I see it as a test of my faith because I would have to trust Him when He tells me to come unto Him and join with Him as one; especially if He says that He would bear the heavy load and burdens as I learn to be as one that is of a meek and humble spirit.
How hard can that possibly be? How many times have you had sleepless and restless nights, or agony and pains of the loss of a loved one. How many more hardships or disappoinments can you endure by yourself? Come unto Him, all you that are heavy laden, and He will indeed give you rest!
