I. Cor. 10:31 Whether therefore you eat or drink, or whatsoever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Col. 3: 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of Jesus, giving thanks to God and Father by him.
Here Paul addresses the church of Corinth in I Cor. and he is no more telling them; that even in the most mundane, routine nonspiritual things such as eating or drinking that we should give thanks and to glorify GOD. If you were to sit down and meditate on these scriptures then you would realize that God's glory should be our lives committment. You ought to know that this is one purpose of our lives, which now belongs to the Lord, because "we have been bought with a price" (I Cor. 7:23)
Now look at the "whatsoever", here you find that Paul is telling us that "in everything give thanks" and if we take it a little further and apply it to our lives then we realize that we are to give thanks to God in everything we say and do...and when we give thanks, we are no more than giving God the glory and to glorify God is to Praise Him and to Praise Him is to lift Him up and if we lift the savior up then we are not only being obedient to the Word of God but allowing the Lord to draw all men unto Him.
So in conclusion, In everything give thanks, in whatsoever you say or do...Praise Him. Please do not find yourself doing things in strife or vainglory and definitely not to please man....and if you forget everything that I told you today.....please remember that in everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
