The booksigning, where I was invited to join a self-published author who works in the same school system, was a BUST. It wasn't a bookstore after all, but a place where you could buy mystical stuff, such as Wiccan bumper stickers or Egyptian figurines or Native American dreamcatchers. I only sold one copy, not more than 20 people in the store all day, but this might be because the store owner suffered a heart attack last week and the event was left to founder. No big deal, it was a Learning Experience. Riiiiight!
Tomorrow, Halloween, is my 23 yr. old son's birthday. Halloween is no longer a trick or treat day for us anymore, though. We live so far out in the country that we get no visitors at all.
