Here is a little blurb from my novel in the 9th chapter of, My Charming Protector. Enjoy...
"You seemed angry." She explained. "I thought I had done something wrong. I guess with everything going on in my life I felt a little out of control and I didn't want that."
"You mean a lot out of control right?" He smiled at her then. "You once told me I was like the big brother you never had. I must admit Shawna, I'm not feeling very brotherly and I don't want to blow that trust with you again."
Their eyes met briefly, the look he gave her was definitely not brother like. She turned away shivering and wasn't sure if it was because of the cold wind or what she thought was going on between them. The snow was falling a little harder than it had been as both looked around..
"There is a storm brewing Mitch." Her statement was loaded with meaning. She'd have to confront the big big storm later that was brewing between them. "I have a feeling that we had a better start down."
Mitch nodded in agreement. He took the lead and mumbled to himself. "Yes, there is a storm brewing." He just didn't know what to do about it at this time.
