How do you come up a story to write? I personally have ideas in my mind all the time. It is like a puzzle of words, ideas, flashes of memory and things that happen in everyday life and of course make believe. I love fiction.
An idea starts to form and I feel as if I have to start writing, or the inspiration might disappear like a flash of light. Once I get the inspiration down on paper, the pieces begin to fall into place. One piece at a time I write down thoughts and connect them together until suddenly it takes on a life of it's own. Like a painting coming to life with color at the stroke of a brush. I love textures, scents, color, and the sounds of everything around me. It gives me fuel to fill the story with life, love, sadness and any other human emotion that comes to mind.
It amazes me that the expression of words are beautiful, horrifying, and very revealing. I realize that I let my insecurities come out in ways I have never dreamed before. Through stories and make believe. I'm reaching others as I have never done in person. Words can be such a personal release of feelings and emotion. I let my most inner thoughts be expressed, and allowing bits and pieces of me be exposed with words that begin on a blank page for others to read.
