news events and happenings in the larger world Throughout the upcoming months I hope to use my blog to provide amusing, insightful, and informative articles about day-to-day life for this author. As an attorney, Electrical Engineer, adjunct faculty, and writer my days are filled with a great deal of activity, sometimes adventure, and always challenge. From dealing with past and former clients in the wee hours of the morning to the always difficult students in my classes, life is full of little adventures that I will share with you from time to time. Just as I tried to do with the recent article on water, I will share with you my experiences as I seek answers to questions from friends, students, present and former clients, and from my own inexhaustible curiosity. Recently I have been working on a sequel to "Knights of the First Order", and a nonfiction book about economic systems and the origins of capitalism. The nonfiction book entitled, "Chaos, Synchronicity, and capitalism: the three phases of a natural system, will be finished with editing sometime over the next several months and will be on the market shortly thereafter. The sequel to Knights, is currently being reviewed and edited and will hopefully be ready for release sometime in 2007. I'm beginning work on a new nonfiction book dealing with the historical perspective of economic wars and their impact on various cultures and societies in our world. As I said, my own inexhaustible curiosity drives me forward in many of these areas, and this new book is one such area. After reading the book 1491, I began to look critically at how different economic systems have clashed and how the societies involved in the systems have been affected. For those of you do not know what 1491 is about, it is a book discussing the impact of European explorers on Native American populations in South, Central and North America. Prior to the arrival of Columbus is now believed that there was an indigenous native population on the North and South American continent that exceeded the population of Europe. What happened to all those people is a matter of heated contention in many intellectual circles today. Not being shy about wading into a good fight, I'm going to add my opinion and perspectives too that debate in the forthcoming nonfiction novel. I hope many of you will take the time to not only read my books, but to read my blog and articles which I hope to keep fresh, entertaining, and informative.
