Becoming a writer is concept in many minds. A dream some say. However, in my experience, if you’re writing for anything other than pure enjoyment, your experience will be unfulfilling in my opinion. Oh yes, you may earn hundreds or millions. But if the passion to write captivating stories is replaced by the desire to earn piles of money, the endearing and self-evolutionary process that is artistic creation will pass you by. As I wrote THE ANGEL HUNTER, I lived the story with Victoria. Although a virtual experience, the day-to-day putting of words to pages allowed me the freedom to experience the story I was creating. Even the scenes on the campus of Notre Dame, a place I have never seen with my own eyes. In the end, it’s all about the readers for me. I want to hear, “I couldn’t put your book down,” from every reader who ever opens to the first page.
