i luv me soooo much
yet i hate me at times too
i luv when i am being black and
i luv when ia am being a nigga too
i luv the race of people i belong too it is a real and hurtful/hateful thang the views and judgements that other groups want to place on a truly heroic people
Have you seen the results of a women (or men) who has been molested when they were coming up? Especially the ones who their own mothers didn't protect? Or what about the men who went(was placed in jail at an early age?) Or an overweight child or a child who is considered a nerd(unattrative). They built talk shows around how name calling still haunted or affected that person through adult hood, they break out the curtains with their new found pride from surgery or just hard work, but the emotional damage is still their. Imagine generations of misuse and abuse.i wrote a poem on salvery and someone commented on how salvery would be like number ten on his/her list of race mistreatment, i respect their views, but was totally amused by it at the sametime. it is true (i think not for sure) that we were the only ones to have sold our own people into salvery, but they had no ideal in which the gruesome nature that their partners had in store (it may or may not would of made a difference) No other race has been denied (still) a culture.(still being taught in school how christopher discovered america,no real facts about salvery and americas part in heroin in the black community). No other race has been denied their linkage to their nature (their rites of passage).i am by no means dening the gruesome attacks on others the underlying truth is their have never been a race that has been contiuiously bombarded fiercely as blacks here in their home as black americans. Whos leaders been hunted down, matter of factly anyone who my be getting any type of leadway as fars as fighting or speaking out on black pride, unity. Their have been no other race hated like black americans. and it truly amazes me that we are not all totally insane and what you see of us today are us fighting the insanity of just being. i am tired of the views of us, but never tired of writing about it and being about it. i love bill cosby, i love what he is trying to do...but how are you addressing middle class, white students on how inner city people should change their lives? we see your solutions in how things are suppose to be done by your black balling of Lisa bonnet and others who didn't follow your rules or agree with your way. it was a painful thing to know that you would stop their ability to make money, to better themselves. it was a painful thing to hear mrs. rasade(?) (the one who played the mother) say that lisa's character would end up being a welfare mother and so on....sad. it is so sad that it would take a retirement ploy from a white man to stir our community up to take issues up that different black groups around the community has been trying to get people together to discuss for centuries. the asian jounernalist who was fired for writing an article about hating blacks, niggas for being so weak to allow themselves to be oppressed for all these years.....the roots of salvery are deep, deeper than a few years of Oprah's abuse while younger a child. deeper than Spike Lee's movies. deeper than the Maury shows of look at me now. we are just starting to learn the truth about us in some schools across the world. we are just starting to be reaquainted with our language and some rites of passage programs over 95% of us still don't know what tribe we come from where our journey should even begin (again not even avilable to us all still) information on how to get information we are just begining to understand how truly creative, beautiful and strong we are. Everthing has been stolen from us (still our style our ebonics, copy cat performers *see gill scott). Rappers make your money! continue to make-up your stories and tell your side if you came across a hoe or bitch i want to hear about. continue to express yourself it is up to us to raise our children to not let them fall in that catagory of being a bitch or hoe (that ain't just a black thang it is a women thang) sistahs and mothers grab those who sistahs and mothers ain't helping them be put your arms around us/them) banning words is a backward start to me but it is a start i guess no-the-less
our focus should be on behavior why? and not words. look at girls gone wild, look at celebrities gone wild they try to magnify our behavior like it is a black thang get real. think about this christy alley (?) cheers funny lady and mo'nique can joke about fat people they call people who are big boned, fat slobs and other adjectives and it is ok why? because they are apart of that group they know the true struggles of what it means to be large....same as with the blue collar comedy tour...same as with us yes we can call each other nigga and know what and why we do it.....no the f*** you can't! and you know this. you don't know jack about it being a nigga but some of you know about being a nigger *ask paul mooney (boy don't you love words and definitions) the trickster in you just isn't holding up anymore (you have/are being exposed)you all have been so busy trying to hold us down, get rid of us, confuse us that you are now in jeapordy yourself. you can see your boss laughing and joking or just going about his day with people or a person who he allows to call him by his first name you try it, i don't fall for that monkey see monkey do stuff, *ask mc search the whites who could be considered ok to say it the "n" word don't because they know/relate to what's going on, to what it is all about and even they are not ok to say it...people can keep playing ignorant if they want but truly it is y(our) children's children who is going to pay
