How will this world come to an end? According to Stephen King's The Stand, it will end with a whimper.
According to Erin Collins and her first novel Shadow Walk--it will end with the devil coming among us as a friend.
the Gathering is only the beginning. We see the generations that, unknowingly have influened the beginning of the world of the Devil.
Most are normal, wonderful people. Some meet bad ends. But, from beginning to the gripping end, we see a transition to the moment where the devil emerges.
I, for one, can't wait to see what happenes in the next novel in the series.
