My journey into writing actually began when I was thirteen. I had written a poem titled, Childhood Dream. It was really a silly poem.

For years after, I wrote nothing. Then, when I was in my early twenties, I began sporadically writing poetry, song lyrics, and a few random thoughts.

It wasn't until I was 38, that I decided to delve into book writing. It took me a long time to complete my first novel. I didn't know a whole lot about the writing process, the mechanics of writing, or anything else. At that time, I diddn't even have a computer. So, I began Shadow Walk: The Gathering, on legal pads. I still have them in storage...LOL

Finally, in December of 2005, I wrote "The End" on my precious manuscript. What a thrilling feeling that was. Little did I know how much more thrilling it would be to actually hold my printed book in my hands. WOW!

I worked as a staff writer for my local newspaper for over a year. I got sick, and had to resign. I still miss it.

Now, I'm working on a second novel, although I have tons of Works In Progress. My publisher wants a specific book from me by April 2009. Noooo pressure, right? GRIN

So is the life of a starving artist....LOL
