The tentative release date for Mantis Nights, the first novel of the Mantis series, is September 21st. I heard from the editor I'll be working with on Mantis Nights today. I filled out a couple of pieces of paperwork she needed and then went to work editing Mantis Coma, the second installment in the series. It's my forth time through and it's starting to look pretty good.
Other than that, I've gotten one response since my last blog, a rejection from Ideomancer. They said the story was like a skeleton of something bigger. I've heard that one before. Maybe I should just write another novel sometime soon.
