I thoroughly enjoyed _Beyond My Control_. It's the memoir of one man's life -- but what a life (!) and what a man (!). I could feel his near-constant fear of living not knowing when the next seizure might happen, especially the post seizure episodes which were completely unpredictable. And yet, Stuart isn't a dark, brooding or bitter man. His humor shines through the pages as does his love, his curiosity and his deep conviction to take care of his family, get healthy and lead a fabulous life.
This is a book about a heavy and potentially devastating topic and yet it is written with love and sweetness so that I feel my eyes have been opened. This book taught me so much. I'll recommend it to everyone.
