Venturing into Self Publishing 1/12/2010 5:27:13 PM
Looking at new frontiers in publishing Traditional brick and mortor bookstores and publishers are falling by the wayside to POD and online publishing and sales. The huge success of Amazon is a case in point.
Now Amazon, through their highly successful Kindle has provided a low cost portal for publishing open to anyone with a computer and access to a wordprocessor. With their www.createspace.com and dtp.amazon.com websites allowing POD and e-publishing they have blown open the publishing industry.
I have decided to venture into this new paradigm of POD and Kindle publishing, eshewing the traditional submit query letter, wait 6 months, submit sample chapters, wait 6 months, submit manuscript, wait 6 months, edit,edit,edit, and finally, publish. Instead I prepare a complete manuscript according to format requirements and then submit and publish, all in less than a day.
To whit I am publishing my three book length offers, "Seeds of Wonder", "Quest of the Rune Sword" and "Ransom of the Phoenix" on the www.createspace.com in POD format and on dtp.amazon.com in Kindle format.
