You would think after all that you look at a manuscript you would catch all the mistakes. Well, let me tell you, your eyes tend to skip and jump and miss all sorts of little things.
On reformatting the books for publishing the reformat broke some sentences across paragraphs, guess there were some old page-return-linefeeds in ther from who knows when and of course the obligatory word usage and even a misspelling or two. And of course these weren't found until after the proofs had been approved and the books up for sale.
In the traditional publishing world there would already be 2000 or more printed and maybe more meaning they would not allow a reprint until all of those were gone. With the POD model only 4 have been printed (come on, get out there and buy some!) and in a matter of hours the new corrected copies are up and ready to go.
This is what I mean by the title of the blog, the books are now able to grow and mature like living things. No one likes your ending? Poof, it can be changed for the next reader, find a glaring problem? Wham! It's gone, no need to worry about thousands of copies with your mistake for all to see.
