Become a mentor. Where would you be if no one ever helped you out? I would never be so arrogant as to say that I just learned everything in life on my own. Someone shared with us, a great deal of what we learned throughout our lives. Don’t break the chain. You don’t own this information, so please pass it on. If you know how to pack a backpack show someone who is interested. If you know what type of sleeping bag a person would need in certain weather, share your experience. Do you know the secret to your happiness? Tell everybody! Our youth need our mentorship. Somehow we need to send them a message to get off of the couch and stray far from the video games. They need to know of the fun that they can have by getting out on the trails and roughing it. Bring them with you. You’d be surprised how resilient they can be. You may change a life. I wish that someone could have done this with me when I was a kid. Things would have definitely been different.
