The depth saith... 7/3/2010 5:32:28 PM
The shapes do not change in my dankness as I feel my bones search for words of wisdom. What am I missing and why this soliloquy? I chisel through thought and counter thought for no given reason considering that I have already accepted my fate whatever this might be. I know I am residing in the realms of doom and gloom.
I move slowly chewing through each word I can remember searching endlessly for what would make sense of my thoughts
As I dive deeper into this domicile catching glimpse after glimpse of one thought after another I reach the edge. I know I have because if I was falling off the cliff of my being then I would have been already screaming for fear of death. Yet I know death isn’t going to save me from the fetters of my gaol. Neither can I turn back and retrace my steps for there is no room left for maneuver. I am were I belong, at the edge of all things, neither standing nor falling, neither rich nor poor, just without identity and seeking rescue. As I wait at this brink of extremes I know the inevitable is coming and in my pain I cry out to the Lord. He is the only name I can remember as I feel my face screwing up in agony and the tears begin to flow. My vision is clouded and narrowing in doubt. It is now curtains at the end of my illness and finally my world collapses. In this state I cry for rescue and see the shadows in my room slowly depart to reveal the sun blistering in its brightness. The early morning light filters through the gap in the doorway. The edge, the questions, the thoughts and balance have squeezed through a ray of sunlight through to me in only two words, ‘Talitha cumi’. I say unto thee arise. I am saved.
