My Turn “Leigh just told me she’d started a blog and this is the first chance I’ve had to check it out. Naturally, Penny Sue beat me to the posting point. Nothing unusual there, Leo that she is, she can’t stand being upstaged. I’m sure she would have started this blog if she knew how.
“For once she didn’t exaggerate anything, but I think she made too much of Leigh’s single status. Hey, I was single for years and rarely dated, but the right guy finally came along. Like me, Leigh’s not willing to settle for second best just to hang on a man’s arm, unlike some people living in this duplex, if you get my drift. I don’t mean to imply that Rich is second best, he’s a great guy. It’s just that Penny Sue’s past obsession with men is legendary.
“Construction of my bookstore, A Thirst for Knowledge, is going slower than anticipated. The merchants of Flagler Avenue have been very welcoming, but there’s been one permit delay after another. It seems everyone in the county has to approve the project. I believe they’re waiting on the Turtle People’s approval now.
“Jo Ruth with finish her residency in Psychiatry in a few weeks and has promised to come for a visit when my apartment is completed. She plans a trip to Europe and a vacation before she settles on a place to set up practice. I’m hoping she decides to come here, Lord knows Penny Sue could use some counseling. But, you know these Indigo children, they have minds of their own.
