My co-author wrote this the other day. =D Good Afternoon Readers,
This morning as I was on my way to get some routine blood work done, I was thinking about yesterday’s blogs regarding my busy brain. I realized that I am never truly alone. Not only did I have my partner in crime with me, Sharon LaValley (co-author), but I swear to you… there in the back seat sat Fred, all strapped into his car seat with his face plastered to the window in awe of everything going on around him. And there was Hodges sitting next to him with eyes scrunched shut waiting for this “new fangled car thing” to be over! Hodges doesn’t care much for the modern age. Fred LOVES every gadget imaginable! Hodges likes it much better when we come visit them at their home, Hedgenell. As we park in the lot to the Doctor’s office and shut off the engine, Hodges finally un-scrunches his face and takes a peek out the window. I hear a sigh come from the old gnome. “Everything is so hard and flat here; too many straight lines!” “Aw, come on Hodges; it’s not so bad! Here they have roadder skates!” says Fred to the grumpy old gnome. “Humf! Why would any sane person want to strap wheels to their feet!?!?” grumbles Hodges. I smile down at Fred as I unstrap him from his car seat, and whisper, “Hodges hasn’t had his coffee yet; we need to be patient with him.” Fred smiles up at me as he bounces out of the car and takes Hodges by the hand as we walk into the Doctor’s office. I sign in and we all take a seat. Well, all but Fred who is sprawled out at my feet and has found not only a coloring book but crayons as well! Hodges is sitting next to Sharon reading an old Better Homes and Gardens magazine.”Humf, it should be called Better GNOMES and Gardens! Don’t they have that magazine here?” And this, our dear readers, is just the beginning of our day together! But you all will be happy to know that right after the Dr.’s office, we all went and had breakfast. And after his third cup of coffee, Hodges perked right up! He still prefers Hedgenell, but his day got a lil brighter, and he knows we will all go home soon.
