Writing the Pesky Subplots

For me, writing necessary subplots is not easy. Subplots can give new insights into main characters and can involve the reader with additional characters to love or to hate. Today I am working on a new subplot. One of those brother-sister relationships that can be better if only one of them reaches out to the other. Fortunately, I've seen some brother-sister relationship healing in real life. I am counting on that knowledge to help me get it right in my new novel in progress.
