Updating the Scene List 10/21/2013 11:59:52 AM
When I am writing a novel, I create a scene list. I live by this list to keep the details of my plots and subplots straight.
Sometimes character development and new subplots demand an updated scene list. For example, I may need to move something already in the novel to a different place.
So, when my current writing gets out of sync with the list, I reluctantly blow the whistle and get the list straight again.
It's more fun to create pages of dialog that move the story along, but these timeouts for syncing will save me future headaches. I blew the whistle today, but still met my goal for new words on the pages. Thanks for stopping by. AS
