I was on supply at a school near Swindon where I covered for two French lessons for Year 7 pupils. It was amazing how my French returned after not using it for so many years but that's not the point here. What is was the fact that at the end of the lesson, I read a segment of my book to them and they were hooked! Of course, the boys always want to hear the part where the main character goes and shoots up the school but the girls are less so interested in that. I managed to give both audiences a little of what they wanted. The school may have me talk at an assembly one day.
