Spring Break is In the Air - now If Only Spring Was 3/7/2015 10:03:37 AM
A look at Spring Break Many colleges in the New York region are celebrating Spring Break this week, and to kick the week off the clocks spring forward one hour. Nice, uh? Isn’t that neat? Don’t you dig it? Travel the countryside and party till you drop and be back all the earlier at the end of the break. You gotta love that! And if that isn’t bad enough, it isn’t even spring yet. The first day of the season isn’t until the 20th. There’s a whole lot of WTF going on here, if you ask me.
It’s more of a winter break, which I really, and I can’t stress this enough, wish that it would, into a million, billion, zillion pieces even, like the so many snowflakes, and drops of freezing rain, and chunks of sleet that have come together to create it.
Florida (which is both the senior citizen and the spring break capital of the known universe) fever is blowing in on the blistering (cold) wind.
In related news, there are known to be quite a few happy grandpas with binoculars down there this time of year.
Aw, Spring Break; sex, sun, and rock ‘n’ roll for some lucky college students and a week and a half of singing the winter blues for most of the pack. And then there are those other ones who spend their break doing volunteer work, who are all like, look at me, I’m out saving the world, ain’t I special? They make me sick! Still, the bottom line is, whether college students live the dream or dream to live or make me sick; it’s a week and a half off from school for them.
The few students who the rest of the ones and many other folks live vicariously through lay around oiled and nearly or so. . . . (use your imagination) naked on their warm beaches and swim and serf in their precious oceans beneath the blazing sunshine all day and party hardy all night while the rest of us suffer in our winter wonderlands.
Who do they think that they are anyway? And to not even take me with them, talk about your basic low rent personalities. I mean really?! Yep! I see how they are alright. There outta be a law.
