What If Black Men Start Killing Cops? 4/29/2015 9:04:20 PM
The riots in Baltimore Maryland is an indication of the future holds if America does not change the way white police officers treat black men. FROM THE BOOK-WHAT IF BLACK MEN START KILLING COPS? ---from Author READY T. LOVE As the grand jury in Missouri and new York rendered its decision on not indict white police officers for shooting Michael Brown, Tamir Rice and Eric Gardner, Tony Robinson, and Walter Scott, and Fred Gray, the question remains, where is the justice? Every day a black mother has to believe the impossible that her child is dead due to the insensitivity and anger of another human being. As a parent, it would be inconceivable to process, burying a child whom you planned to bury you. I know people have been saying for years that too many black people, especially our young men, are dying to violence. Many of us have thrown our hands up, and given up on solutions that could deter the cycle of violence impeding the young lives of people we love.
In addition to the violence, our people are victimized by, the demonstrations for peace and calm seem to last longer than understanding of why someone needs to murder or do harm to feel peaceful. In other words, they are saying through murder, or violence, "...that I need you to relinquish your life, your security to make me happy…." I understand that everyone is not entitled to live out their days escaping a violent death. However, when the young people of your society have violent deaths or prison as their destination, drastic measures of changing their lives need to be considered. If black people are going to riot and demonstrate when a black person is murdered by a white person and the white murderer is freed, then black people must do the same for all the senseless violence that exist where they call home. The time has come for the future young black grave keepers, to protest against the very system and people that are destined to murder them. There are too many unnecessary funerals in the black community, for black people to be proud of any future that reap positive contributions. Please understand the words that are written throughout this book, for they were written by invisible hands from parents with tears in their eyes that will never see their children again. I cannot express the unlimited pain of the parents, but I can corroborate the message that peace must come to our communities and homes. We must start making white police officers, and officers of the judicial system understand that we are no longer taking this type of violence against our children, brothers, husbands, sons, and daughters any more without serious repercussions. We may be black, but that does not mean we do not know love, peace and respect. It is time we make insensitive white Americans respect black men, black children, black women and black life, or they will continue going on murdering us and believing we have to tolerate their injustice due to our inability to unite. Martin Luther King Jr said, "...there comes a time when people get tired of the iron feet of oppression…." Death by violence among black men is the latest oppression, and it is time we break the feet that are trampling our black people to their graves.
