Hoarding as a Filing System 6/6/2015 7:53:26 AM
Don’t you hate it when you can find something that you’re looking for when the last that you knew it was in this, that, or the other pile and you’ve toppled all of them in vein? This is a subject of which I know absolutely nothing about.
Now, if I could just find my glasses and the right page in the right notebook I might have some notes on it. I know that I have what I need around here somewhere.
Yep! Be it books or notebooks or CDs, I can and occasionally do out of pure necessity organize them, but I can never keep them that way for long, and sometimes life (if you can call it that) outside of my office isn’t much better.
I keep my clothes in a laundry bag most of the time and shoved into drawers with no rhyme or reason the rest of the time. This dates back to my days on the run, a, road, I mean road, and only road, of course! You didn’t read anything else, understand?!
I have a filing cabinet and I file everything in the box under F – for filed, because otherwise when I go back to look for whatever I’ll never know where to find it.
The other place where I file papers is in the trash can. The only real problem with this is that not nearly all that should be filed there ends up being so.
