Keeping Your Creative Self Up and Running
1/13/2017 7:03:51 AM

Careful research shows that most of the time our emotions are in the lead. emotion is stronger than thought. Foster positive emotions by thinking of and creating positive environments, driving away stress, loneliness, and reaching out to other writers.
Writers are emotional beings. We need to calm ourselves; calm the body. Calming the body calms the mind. Emotion is stronger than thought. We are social and emotional humans from start to finish. We can foster positive emotions by consciously creating positive environments driving away stress.
In the summer, you can go to the beach. Sit on the sand and take your laptop with you. Listen to the ocean and enjoy the ocean breeze.
In the winter, if it's too cold, listen to music. Spotify and Pandora apps can be a powerful mood changer. Take advantage of these apps.
Picture yourself on an island in the Pacific. Your vivid imagination can help your writing. It can do wonders for your stress level. This is self-care.
You want something to occupy your mind to make you calmer, more comfortable, and more cheerful. Connect with other writers and commit yourself to happiness.
You will find that you are up and ready to begin that novel from start to finish.
