Benefits of networking with other authors. 1. Sharing ideas and increasing creativity is a huge benefit. 2. A chance to add more readers to your mailing list. 3. Growth. It's a great opportunity to dip your toes into the waters of a new genre. It's getting harder to snag a reader's attention. There are so many books on the market for readers to choose from. Bundling is one way to reach readers and to expand your audience. for instance, joining several authors who can list their stories into one book. Stories that are shorter in length, such as a novella hooked together by themes or specific genres such as contemporary, historical or paranormal can create a wonderful opportunity for the authors to find new readers.
Readers benefit from being able to buy a book of stories from their favorite author and it will give them a chance to experiment with the other authors in the book.
This is a great way for authors to target audiences because the author is counting on the reader knowing the type of books he/she likes which will increase the author's chances of their story being read.
The author has a chance to get in front of new readers and to hook them with their work.
