I find myself thinking today...the day after the 4th of July...exactly how lucky I am. I think of all the countries I could've been dropped into and am so thankful I'm in America. We just take it so for granted that we can sit down at our keyboards and relay the stories in our heads and then present them to the public for their reading enjoyment. Do we ever stop to remember that there are countries where we wouldn't be allowed to even talk about the things in our minds, let alone put them to paper and pass them around? Something as simple as writing a story, publishing it and, hopefully, selling it is a gift. It's a gift of freedom that some will never know. I, for one, will cherish it.
