I have a dog...a big dog! She's Husky and Dalmation and beautiful. As with most pets, she drives me batty some days but, today, she's calm and peaceful and enjoying the breeze on the patio. It's days like this that I watch her and wonder what she's thinking. She's been laying in the same place for over an hour and, now and then, she lifts her head to sniff the air. She looks around the yard... ours as well as the neighbor's...as if she's waiting for something exciting to happen. Then she naps for a while without a thought to something needing to be done or somewhere she needs to go. If I walk to the door to let her in, she turns her head and looks at me as if to say "Not yet. I'm happy right here." It makes me ask myself, do I have a place where I'm calm and peaceful and can say "I'm happy right here?" Some place and a little time that I just relax and close my eyes for a quick nap? Do you? Where's your happy place?
