Hi, my name is Cefa the cat. Today I’m going to tell you about one of my favorite cat stories. It is called “The Cat Race.”
If I ever wanted to move from my home with Drugu, I would move to Catville. Catville is a town where all the cats live. The mayor is a cat. The town council members are cats. And all of it’s citizens are cats.
One day the Catville town council decided to hold a “race”. Everyone was excited. They all volunteered to help make the “race” a huge success, even though they were not sure just what a “race” was.
On the day of the “race” everyone gathered around eagerly waiting for the festivities to begin.…
Well, I guess you will have to read the story to find out just what happened on Race Day.
Did the cat population find out what a race was? Did they enjoy the race? Was it a success? Do you think they will have another Race Day?
This is one of my favorite cat stories because it shows how everyone in the town of Catville worked together to make Race Day a successful and fun event. It didn’t matter what type of cat they were or if they were members of the town council or just the citizens, they all got together and made sure their town had the most successful Race Day - Ever!
“The Cat Race” is a true family collaboration. The author is mother, Christa. Her daughter, Alyssa, is the illustrator. Daughter Sarah supplied the original inspiration for “The Cat Race.” And the other family members, husband Steve and son Nathan, were responsible for adding fun ideas.
