The convention was fun. Laura Ann Gilman's The Cold Eye won. It's a well-written book with an interesting concept, and I recommend it. There was a bit of a pall over the awards, as Dave Duncan died late this summer, and he had two books up for the award. My condolences to his family. Literature loses a strong voice with his passing.
