The car and the annoying pinging and flashing of warning lights has been fixed at last. I think my email to the UK headquarters of the car maker might have carried some weight, not that I was confrontational in the slightest. I simply recounted my tale of woe and emphasised how 'disappointed' I was, being a loyal customer over many years. I got £300 compensation as well - better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Now - I zoom around happily in a completely (well almost) silent car, completely ping-less, reminding me yet again what a fabulous drive it is.
