Episode 10

Dango and the King

Part 2

When we sat around the dinner table that evening, Grandma made her entrance. Everyone then started speaking in French. When she looked at me, she must have asked who the strange guest was. King then asked me if I spoke French, and when I said I didn’t, it was obvious he told her who I was, and the rest of the dinner conversation was spoken in French, leaving me to my dinner and occasionally looking around.

It was a serious conversation, and I believe it was about the business of King going to the island. Although I don’t know for sure, after catching hints here and there and having listened to Dango, I imagined the meeting was with the circle of people who control the wealth of the world. They are their own country, guv, and dictate to the countries’ leaders through their own organizations like puppets on a string.

Thanksgiving Day, Dango and I got up early to finish some projects. I didn’t know King had invited bigwigs from DC to dinner. I hadn’t seen the bat signal go out over the city. However, there were the secretaries of this guv dept and that guv dept, and directors of this and that high-ranking guv dept invited.

The strange thing was, they were all in the same boat I was, peons to the king. Here I was throwing a football around and carrying on conversations with powerful people in guv who most people in the world would never get a chance to meet.

The Thanksgiving dinner was exceedingly boring with the king holding court, except for the occasional joke about the current president in power.

The next day we packed for the road trip. The following night we stayed overnight in a hotel on our route to Florida.

After we checked in, Dango and I met the king in the restaurant/bar/lounge for dinner. He was already at the bar, jingling ice around in a scotch and water.

It was apparent we were rescuing the bartender from him, as he had glazed-over eyes and appeared completely flustered. The king had tortured another ant with the sun of semantics under his magnifying glass.

Previously, we had witnessed a pecan store owner standing outside yelling at the king to never come back. As the king approached the car with a smile on his face, he said, “My, my, he certainly seems angry.”

I don’t remember how the conversation started at our table, but maybe the waitress stated she was tired after her boss forced her into working a double shift. I must have replied with, “I think there is a law against that.” Then the king looked at me in astonishment. “Why?”

Oh, oh, now the naive, stupid, incompetent peon was going to have to explain business law to the creator of law and negotiation in the realm where he always got his way. I must have had enough courage from alcohol in me as I replied, “Because there are labor laws.”

To my surprise, it appeared he didn’t think I was a peon at that moment, but perhaps an apprentice learning his craft, whom he was about to mentor.

He started explaining that as long as the employee is paid, there is no reason why the employer can’t expect extra work from the employee. It denies the right of contract between two people, in this case, employer and employee.

Not knowing I had just been schooled, I didn’t know if there was such a law or right but got an idea to challenge his statement. “But what if it is illegal in the first place?” Then he asked me to explain myself.

“What if a pimp tells his whore to work a double shift on the streets when prostitution is illegal in the first place?”

After the table finished laughing, he continued, “It didn’t matter; as long as two people had an implied employee-employer contract, he could expect her to work extra hours.”

I learned if there are perceived (or historic “we’ve always done it this way”) laws, as long as the perceived law existed first, it is possible it can override newly established law, even if now it is illegal.

I didn’t know about perceived law or object value then, but when I read it in the book of secrets, it rang true with what the king taught me that day.

No wonder some people get away with murder or seem able to get around laws today while the rest of us deceived people get punished under the same laws! Attorneys can create perceived laws at their whim and then weave a tale to fit their argument. It is called "smoke and mirrors, or deception! It is done every everyday.

The next day, as we drove into the Florida marina on the Atlantic Ocean, we moved so far down the long row of boats I didn’t think we were in the marina anymore, and perhaps we weren’t. But there at the end, away from everyone else, was a large-sized boat with the boat captain standing guard alongside.

After we pulled up and backed the trailer in, the guard started the motor in the private boat and then stared straight ahead. We unloaded the cargo from the trailer into the boat and said our goodbyes.

The king got on the boat, and then the captain finally turned and said something to him. With his next moves, the captain poured him what I can only guess was a scotch and water and then took off for the island. We left to travel to Louisiana.

Barkley lived in a medium-sized home near the gulf. When we first walked into his home, a huge live parrot was standing on its perch by the door. It said, “Hello, who are you? I don’t have beer,” and then continued on talking non-stop. The rest of the home had huge oil paintings of birds from around the world.

Barkley took the package. Dango led him into another room and then locked the door behind him. That is all I can say about the package, Barkley, or our road trip.

Dango would come back to where I lived and eventually find a girlfriend. She would get pregnant, and he bought them forested acres off the grid, and they built a home away from his parent's home on the historic river. That was the plan.

For some reason, he later left his girlfriend and daughter, who of course would be set for life. A few years later, I got an email from Dango saying he was teaching physics to the pharaoh’s kids. I knew that meant he was teaching the world’s privileged few in a private school, just as happened to him.

I guess he got pressured, or perhaps the king gave him an offer he couldn’t refuse and groomed him to take a place in his private world. I did see the king once more at Dango’s funeral, about 25 years later, when Dango got killed in a motorcycle accident in another country, or at least that was the story.

The king didn’t remember me or much of anything else. He did have a group of "caregivers", and most likely, to make sure he didn’t say anything he shouldn’t.

One of the sisters remembered me, and we shared some memories about Dango. I discovered the sisters all became over-achievers in the world, and after seeing the brother, it didn’t take long conversation to know he had still gone the opposite way.

I know there are plenty of conspiracy theories out there about a group who control the world. It isn’t a theory anymore. I met one of them.

There are a few people who perpetually create wealth for themselves and then leave the crumbs for the billionaires to fight over. Some things or events happen in our world that don't seem rational. But sometimes it goes beyond stupid to the point where we have to know nobody is that stupid, especially when the same stupid things happen repeatedly forever.

It was when I started studying history that I saw the same things happening repeatedly, what the previous generations forgot, and that becomes another bigger picture, and we still need to see more bigger pictures before we will believe the biggest picture.

I just hope this goes out to enough people before I perhaps meet the same fate as Dango or the person behind the radio show.

It seems many people are looking for the “one world order.” It’s been here since the beginning, hiding in front of our face.

Again, I ask for your sanity and common sense. Doesn’t it seem probable that within 4500 years, we’d have figured out how to get along? We wouldn’t put up with a debtor economy or bullies?

If we look at a bigger picture, why is there always division among people, historically orchestrated by only a few? Why would sound-minded people exchange objects of value for perceived value, which has no value? Is there a sparkly alien we can’t physically see causing our strife?

The next deception to revelation from the straw in the tidal wave shows us how we can put all of the pieces of the puzzle together, maybe
