I don't write poetry; I only joined the den to read poetry from time to time. I'm wasn't trying to kill your dream, I was just stating a fact that poetry books rarely sale. And I thought this might be helpful information; as it's better to know than not to know.

As far as poetry.com, it was organizations like the Philadelphia Inquiry Newspaper and ABC's 20 20 TV program that investigated them and found them to be a very shaky organization. They have been reported by numerous people to the Better Business Bureau of Maryland.
I was just trying to you a heads up about them, because I know several poets who have been ripped of by them.

Hey Johnny Smooth, what are you the Devil? Jesus dude I asked for help and you want me to just forget my dream and trash it before I even wake up. I know that I made a comment about "throwing it away" in my request for help, but your not suppose to agree with that goof.

Also, after looking at your Bio, It occurred to me that you are one whos opinion should be ignored. Next!

Don't send it to poetry.com as many consider them to be nothing more than a scam organization. Also, I wouldn't spend anymore money, as poetry books normally just don't sale well. I read somewhere online that most people who publish their poetry, sale less than 50 copies of their book.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but I do wish you well, with whatever you decide to do.

Send it to Poetry magazine or poetry.com (if it's the same people). They'll tell you what they think. :)
