Not so sure the choice was "irrational" at all considering McCain has always ran on the platform of 'reform'. She has far more executive, practical, and administrative experience than Obama from the ground floor up. She has controlled and balanced state budgets with Veto power, refused Federal earmark spending on the wasteful 'bridge to nowhere' project, had intense dealings with the bordering Countries of Russia and Canada, is the Commander in Chief of the Alaskan National Gaurd, supported ethics complaints and stood up against her own party which lead to the removal and resignation of well-entrenched senior GOP politicians, stood up to the monopoly of major oil companies by awarding fair open bid contracts to small independent service companies. Moreover, there's no doubt at all, with her blue collar background, that she will strongly connect with middle America.
I guess we'll see how she performs in the debates against the beltway blowhard.
