John McCain's choice of Sarah Palin to be his running mate, is political suicide. I guess John McCain doesn't really want the job of president. Maybe he has gotten in over his head and now realizes that it's too late to get out. Maybe his only out was to do something that would guarantee his defeat. Why else would he have chosen the newly elected governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, to be his running mate? A relative unknown in the political arena, Sarah Palin, with her two years of major political experience is certainly no match to a plethora of other Republican candidates who would have enhanced the McCain ticket and given him the edge that he desperately needed to gain ground on the Obama/Biden momentum. When leaders act politically irrational, it is usually because they have a very personal rational agenda. In this case, it appears McCain wants out. Why, is anyone's guess.
