To be in the quietness of ones true self...without distractions of the world is a joy in itself. I wish you a content journey! So beautiful to compare the idea of contemplation in your life with pruning.
Love and sunshine, CarolHawks
I can certainly relate Ann.
I will respond to this from my own experiences of being pruned severely.
The pruning process is very uncomfortable, disquieting, irritating, awkward, and it makes us uncomfortably self-conscious, and it also often causes us to lament or over-compensate to try and find that place of power and peace that we once had.
Fasting is certainly Biblical Ann, and distancing our lives from the noise of the world can only help clarify hearing His voice. But we are supposed to be involved at all times, especially as stewards in the areas that we've been given. We can never pull back or give up in this mandate.
This is what I believe - the days are short, and Christ by His Spirit is preparing those who belong to Him for something glorious. The pruning process is going to hurt, still, you should always, prayerfully, follow what your heart instructs you to do. In this pruning process we should always try and rejoice greatly, too, because with these tests the gold of whom we are becoming in Him is being purified.
Blessings ...
Every journey begins with the first step.
Bless you
Georg
