My condolences and sympathy to you and your family. This is one phase of our lives that we all must walk on one day, and we must all stay strong and safe.

We all are part of life's cycles, we lost parents, siblings, friend, sweethearts...we will be also the cause of sorrow to a few when our departure turn arrive.
If we only could remember the good things...remember them for what they were for us, in our thoughts and heart.
You both, take your time, and come back when lavender fragrance fill your soul, but never dry those dear tears.
