I think there's a difference between speaking correctly and writing correctly. As a writer, I have to edit many times before I get rid of all those funky grammar mistakes. But when I'm speaking I got one shot at it. And I'm also not writing when I'm speaking so that means I'm taking a break!
Recently had an angry discussion with a fellow who hates football. He doesn't want to see us refer to our team as 'we.' We won! We got the touchdown! Etc. But recently Obama came out in Wisconsin to see, referring to his team the Bears, "We'll get you next time."
We know it's grammatically incorrect. But it's also fun!
