This is a lot like "the sinking of the Titanic" as Randall said! It is as you said about: "to get the money like now"
as far as this government goes. We really are in a corporate owned government. Imagine if you or I could not pay back our credit car and had compelling reasons--but it's OK if you're big enough, and compensation without any guarantees for the taxpayer.
Even those on disability if they become rich enough and off the program MUST pay every bit of benefits back by law.
No laws for "Wall St. speculators"

Leslie seems to be chasing around after pro-Obama blogs right now - and there are a LOT of them. I'm afraid the pro-Obama groundswell is unsettling him.

I didn't bother to read past your rhetoric on being in a recession. A recession is defined as two quarters in a row when GDP declines. The last two quarters GDP rose. We are no where near a recession, and as McCain says, the economy , though not robust, obviously, is fundamentally strong. BUT THE DEMOCRATS WANT TO STRESS THAT IT IS SO THEY CAN GET ANTI-CHRIST OBAMA ELECTED!
Now, that doesn't mean we aren't possibly heading toward a recession...but it will take two quarters to find out. Let's wait and see!
