Now it is many weeks later and I can offer a tidbit of advice: we found that these sonic noise makers you plug into an electrical outlet seem to work...I am not endorsing any brand...we used fairly inexpensive ones from a hardware store...thank goodness, this problem has been solved.

Thank you, Leslie and Jasmin! The mice are still there..inside the hollow walls and on the book shelves...they just aren;t interested in any bait-food.

A bucket deep,
a hanle keep,
a laddel inbetween,
some food that's white or green,
peanuts, or its butter,
it doesn't really matter,
half way inbetween,
lay the food where seen,
on front of fulcrum over pail,
and soon it tips, they be in jail,
then gentle in the garden plot,
find for them a spot.......... alive. Hugs!

Gina! Of course we noticed--I kept coming to look for you, and I myself am too often absent.

As you have said--life (and those eye problems!) get in the way. I have an awful trouble with my glasses--can't get 'em right.

I don't have advice on your mice. I always feel guilty if I kill one, but can't have them around--all I can say is good luck!
