Ahhhh, this brings me back to the most wonderful experience I had in my early twenties.......living in a cabin down in the woods with a wood stove, and an outhouse. A friend invited me to come to the Island and spend time in the woods by the river for the Summer and Fall months. We had to carry our water down a long, thin path to and fro to our neighbours. They allowed us to bathe or shower at their place but as for the rest we roughed it. A truly amazing experience. Today I don't get upset with power outages as it just brings back that feeling of living in the small cabin in the woods. Thanks for sharing!

I'm reminded of all those years (so many of them) we took everything for granted--water, electricity, among others. I'm glad we are not deprived of daylight whether we've been good or bad! Because of His goodness.

No snakes for me, either, Joyce! (s~h~i~v~e~r)
After the rains hit this area yesterday ('tho I only got a few drops), our temp dropped 25 degrees- 95 to 70! Had a delightful evening in the back yard! This morn temp is climbing again :o(
But going without 'running water' would be a bummer...glad the 'lectricity was turned back on for you!

Say Joyce, that seclude pond of Dennis is equipped with a jacuzzi? if so, when I am there, you promise not to take a peek?
