Forty years ago Memorial Day caught us in Nam's jungle and we did remember the buddies from '44 Omaha Beach and Korea's Inchon.
Every Memorial Day we, the survivors, die a little more, we are with them for a little while, telling them that their country never forgot them.
We also lie.
